Congratulations to Miss Fremeau's little "worms!"  Everyone helped to put on a great presentation of "Squirm" for a huge audience of friends, family, and schoolmates.  Great work everyone; I am so proud of your hard work and your performance today.

Today we had a special writing lesson with Mrs. Malynowski.  We've already practiced our 'friendly letters' a lot.  Now, we're starting to learn 'procedural writing,' in which we teach our readers how to make or do something.

We've been working very hard on subtraction - particularly, subtraction with regrouping.  Here we are playing "Go for the Smallest," which made our practice fun!

Today we recognized the sacrifices of our veterans.  At our Veteran's Day assembly, we had the chance to salute our community's veterans, including the families of Jacob, Mia, and Kayla.

Calling all families!  Mark your calendars!  Our class will be performing "SQUIRM - A Wiggly, Giggly Musical!"  Our presentation with be on Monday, November 24, from 2:15-2:45.  Please come cheer us on!

Students are asked to dress in all black for the performance, and to be prepared with song lyrics and speaking parts memorized.  Thanks for your support of this exciting project!
Thanks to the Hooksett Grange, our third graders all received brand new dictionaries.  Some of our favorite parts?  Entries on sign language, the presidents, braille, and the solar system were all popular, but our favorite was definitely the longest word!

"We NEED seeds!"  That's what our class recently discovered when studying plant growth and development.  Students were asked to complete 'seed projects,' which displayed a variety of seeds seen in everyday life.  What did they discover? ...That seeds are here, there, and everywhere!  Check out some of the fantastic projects that came in.

Students had a great time researching Jackie Robinson after reading "Teammates."  Then, they created baseball cards displaying their findings.

We celebrated fall this week with a trip to the "Estimation Station."  Students guessed how many items were in each jar.  Everyone did a great job and had some good fall fun.  Congratulations to our best guessers, and especially to Madie, who made the only perfect guess of the day!
